Located at the foot of the Morne Brabant mountain, on the road to the Morne beach, the Wapalapam restaurant has become an essential gastronomic stopover in this region of Mauritius.
Judiciously decorated and furnished with old wood from an old colonial house, the restaurant is particularly pleasant and warm. A few sailboards fixed to the ceiling and the wooden hull of a traditional boat remind us that we do not forget these roots, namely the world of the sea and surfing. A large shaded terrace surrounding the restaurant gives you the possibility to choose between the large room or the outside.
The unique concept of Wapalapam was born from the collaboration of a former snowboard world champion Rok Flander and a renowned chef Willibald Reinbacher.
The various dishes on offer will take you on a gustatory journey through a modern cuisine inspired by the flavours of the Indian Ocean.
Open from 7am for breakfast, you can enjoy the cruise offered with coffee. For a sporty breakfast, you will have the choice between many fresh fruit juices squeezed to order and dishes with combinations of flavours to recharge your batteries before heading out into the waves or on an excursion on the southern route.
The non-stop service until the evening allows surfing sports lovers to eat at any time after a big surfing session. You will not remain insensitive to the finesse of the dishes proposed and created by Chef Willi.
