The visit of the Castle and its gardens, the train ride, the lunch break in one of its two restaurants and its shopping trip will delight you.
The Domaine de Labourdonnais and its Castle built in 1856 await you for an authentic ballad rich in colours.
Dive into the art of living of the 19th century in Mauritius by following the path leading to the castle, passing by the flora of its garden and its orchards. Discover the authentic interior of a real colonial house, a jewel of the Mauritian heritage.
The park is rich in a wide variety of endemic plants, about fifty varieties of century-old mango trees, spice trees and many exotic fruit trees. This walk will also be an opportunity to meet giant turtles that graze peacefully.
At the end of the visit your ticket entitles you to a tasting of the products of the domain. A range of hand-distilled rum, jams, fruit jellies and fruit juices will be offered for tasting.
The Chateau’s boutique will offer you the opportunity to bring back souvenirs and gifts to extend or share this unique discovery. There are the products of the estate but also confections of local artisans, decorative objects related to the colonial lifestyle and fine groceries.
The two restaurants of the estate invite you to relax with family or friends.
The chefs of La Table du Châteaux restaurant offer gourmet and creative cuisine inspired by the estate’s products.
La Terrasse restaurant offers traditional Mauritian and international cuisine as well as salads, quiches and a dish of the day. It is a peaceful place that welcomes you for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
